Congratulations Trailside! As we conclude our Hoops for Heart fundraiser I must say I am so impressed by all of our participants. As a school, Trailside raised over $1000 more than last year with a final count of $5,002 being donated to the American Heart Association.
Our top fundraiser was 1st Grade, Mrs. Boucher's class, Jeshua Evanoff with a total donation of $827.00!
Again, Thank you for your hard work and dedication to this great organization. Thank you gifts, from the American Heart Association should be arriving at Trailside mid-March.
Mrs. Beiser
Since 2007 Trailside has raised over $40,000 for the American Heart Association either through Hoops for Heart, Jump Rope for Heart, and now THE KIDS HEART CHALLENGE.
Participating in the fundraising portion of the program is completely optional, though all students will be active with heart related lessons and activities whether they are raising money or not. Many students are excited to participate in the fundraiser because they know someone who has been affected by heart disease. This opens the conversation at the elementary level to health, lifelong habits and lifestyle choices.
